I had only known Roger for about 4 years, since the Conservation Area Advisory Committee started. He was a great supporter of volunteering and very interested in Heritage. He would also keep us on the straight and narrow in committee when we veered off. Whilst I only met him from time to time Roger was good fun and a mine of experience.
