Roger kept in touch with our careers. He & knew that Corky & Eddy [both DSS] had been posted to Scotland - so he dropped in.   

Eddy writes - So the time I am talking about, in Scotland, it would have been around 1971 to 1973 when out of the blue Roger turned up in Helensburgh - on a frigate (possibly a leander class [Now likely HMS Whitby]) when he was working as a civilian, as a NAAFI manager.  I think the frigate was guard ship for a local sailing regatta.  That would have kept Roger's attension !!
